||Cosmo is an long time Informix user, dating back to 1987. He has served in a variety of roles, both in the Informix support and development organizations. He is currently based in the UK, but also spent many years in Menlo Park. His primary focus over the last several years has been TimeSeries, helping many customers plan and optimally deploy TimeSeries applications.|
|This session will introduce TimeSeries storage and data loading aspects to consider when planning for your TimeSeries application. Regular time series values are collected at a pre-defined interval, while irregular time series values can be recorded any time. There are pros and cons to working with each different type. This session will cover best practices for defining your TimeSeries containers, planning for compression, working with both regular and irregular time based data, and loading time series data into Informix.
